Cancer Centre Campaign

The Trust’s vision is to provide one integrated Cancer Centre that combines first-class radiotherapy, chemotherapy and medical treatments, alongside a range of complementary therapies, information, support and advice for people affected by cancer.

An Enhanced Environment for Patients

Colchester Hospitals Charity is leading the campaign to complete a £30 million project to build a world-class cancer centre at Colchester General Hospital. Phase 1 saw the NHS Trust invest £25 million in cutting edge radiotherapy. Phase 2 will bring together chemotherapy, haematology and radiotherapy alongside an unique wellness centre.

“The Cancer Centre Campaign is an exciting opportunity to create somewhere over and above the norm, better than average, a place that will exceed expectations. We want people to feel inspired by their surroundings, confident about the care they receive, calm and in control. I strongly believe that the Cancer Centre will enhance treatments and optimise outcomes. “Dr MB Mukesh, Consultant Oncologist

We now need to raise £4.5 million to complete the Cancer Centre We are asking everyone concerned about cancer to join us in our Campaign to bring the very best cancer care and facilities to our community by supporting the Cancer Centre.

Plans for the new Cancer Centre include a wellness centre on the first floor and a new Chemotherapy and Haematology suite on the second floor.
